I honor my sister today and i remember her always finding cats and hiding them in her closet and asking me not to tell mom. Mom always found out after about one month or so later. We lived in Terrace British Columbia then but we also would go to Woolworth’s and purchase turtles for a dime but they always died.

I remember and honor her sense of humor. Her fierce independence and her love of history. Belinda graduated from SFU with her degrees in English and History. I remember taking Belinda out to North Vancouver where the swinging bridge was. She was terrified of the swinging bridge but it would gently rock and she would climb over to the other side. Taking her out to the Burnaby Park and the merry go rounds for adults. We walked about and just talked and laughed and it was a good time.

Belinda’s health in her later years were not good but still she carried on.

Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Rest in peace, Belinda, i have many good memories that i cannot write down but God be with you until we meet again.
